At Pluga, we aim to enable anyone to create their first automation, whether they are tech-savvy or not. In this step-by-step guide, we'll show you how simple and quick it is. 🙂
It is important to emphasize that, as Pluga is a data bridge - capturing information from the source app and sending it to the destination app -, you need to have accounts in both apps you wish to integrate in order to create the automation.
Shall we go through the step by step?
Search for the apps
After signing up or logging in to your Pluga account, the first step is to define the apps you want to connect.
For this tutorial, let's assume you want to create an integration between Facebook Lead Ads and Pipedrive.
The quickest and easiest way to search for automations between these two apps is using the search box. See in the gif:
Choose the automation you want to create
After selecting the second app, you will see that we filter by all automations between the two apps.
Once you choose the desired automation, just click on it and then on "Make this automation".
To illustrate better, in this tutorial we will make the automation "For each response on a Facebook Lead Ads advertisement, create/update a deal on Pipedrive". Sound good?
Authenticate the apps
It is in the authentication step that you will connect your accounts of the apps you use - and want to integrate - to Pluga.
Some apps require an API Token to be authenticated.
An API Token is like the identity document of that app.
Every app that requires an API Token for authentication, we provide a step-by-step guide explaining how to find it in the respective app. Just click on the button as indicated in the image below:
After connecting the two apps to Pluga, just click on "Continue".

Settings
In some cases, after having authenticated the apps, you need to indicate exactly where Pluga will capture data from your source app.
Following our example with Facebook Lead Ads, let's select the page and the form of Facebook Lead Ads to be used in the automation.
Then, just click on "Continue" to start the customization phase. 🕺

Customization
Now, the long-awaited moment to customize your automation has arrived! 🤘🤩
This is when you will select which information you want us to capture from your source app and send to your destination app.
In the case of the Facebook Lead Ads → Pipedrive automation, we select in which "Pipeline" and "Stage" the deal will be created/updated. Check it out:
In other words, in this case, every new lead converted in the selected form will be captured by Pluga and sent to the "Pipeline" and "Stage" selected.
After that, you will select what we call "Attributes", which are the information from the source app (in this case, Facebook Lead Ads) that will be transferred to the "Fields" of the destination app (in this case, Pipedrive).
To view these attributes, just click on “+ insert info from". You can search for attributes in the search field, as shown in the gif below. Makes things easier, right? 😎
In the example below, the "Deal title" field will have the attribute of "full name" followed by "email" - both information coming from Facebook Lead Ads.
As you can see in the image above, the "Title of the Deal" is a required field. Therefore, for the automation to work 100%, it is necessary that this field is filled both in the automation mapping and also in the source app.
If the required field is not filled in the source, the destination app will return a failure and the event will be held in your panel for correction. To correct a failed event, just follow the step-by-step in the article "How to fix a failed event?".
In addition to the attributes coming from the source app, you can also write a fixed information within the fields. Example:
Remember that some apps integrated into Pluga have custom attributes and custom fields.
In Pluga, custom attributes are fields that you can create within your source app. These attributes are found under the button “+ insert custom info”:
On the other hand, custom fields are fields you create in your destination app. See, in the following image, how they are presented:
After selecting the information you want to send from one app to another, just click on "Finish automation" at the bottom of the page.
And there you go! From now on, every time the trigger of the created automation is activated in the source app, Pluga will capture this information and generate an action in the destination app.
For the integration between Facebook Lead Ads and Pipedrive, every time a lead converts on a Facebook Lead Ads form, their data will be captured and sent to Pipedrive in up to fifteen minutes. =)
